Information Requests for Pending Special Assessments
The information below has been provided to assist title companies and buyers/sellers with the process of determining the amount of unpaid City bills, citations and assessments at time of transfer or property ownership

- Utility bills
The status of utility account balances must be obtained by calling (763) 531-1114.
- Administrative citations and vacant building registrations less than 30 days old
The status of unpaid fines for administrative citations must be obtained by calling (763) 531-1144 or the phone number listed on the citation.
- Pending and newly levied assessments
Information regarding pending and newly levied property assessments (those not yet reflected on Hennepin County's computer system), is accessible from the links below. The spreadsheets are sorted by street address and house number.
Other Pending assessments (Miscellaneous City Charges)** Miscellaneous City Charges include administrative citation fines and vacant building registration fees due more than 30 days ago, any nuisance abatement costs, and other city charges. This information is updated periodically and is sorted by street address and building number.
The City updates information provided in the link above on a regular basis. Still, there may be additional, more recent unpaid charges that do not yet appear on the spreadsheet.

Certified assessments
Information regarding assessments that have been certified to the property must be obtained by calling the City's Assessing Clerk at (763) 531-1118.
If you wish to receive a written response itemizing all outstanding balances that relate to a particular property within the City, or if you require more detailed information than is available on the City's website, a formal special assessment records request is required. A written request for search and retrieval of records can be initiated by completing a Special Assessment Records Request Form.
