Remnant Oak Woodland Restoration Project
Posted on 05/24/2022
Join the Crystal Environmental Quality Commission (EQC) Remnant Oak Woodland Restoration Project in Bassett Creek Park.

Restoration days are Thursdays from 6:30 to 8 p.m. to July 28,  Sign up here.

The project focuses on spreading seeds; planting bulbs, seedlings and trees; and removing invasive species like buckthorn and garlic mustard, just west of the creek and north of a prairie project. All tools are provided. Crystal only has six remnant oak woodland areas remaining, all of which are in poor condition.

The EQC is a group of citizens working to conserve and improve environmental resources in Crystal.
